Process steam

The turbines can be coupled with steam boilers two different ways; either as pre-heaters of the boiler’s own burners or in combination with duct burner and heat recovery steam boiler.

Both installations are combined with high efficiency and very wide & flexible operation windows. This also helps the end-customer to match both the power and heat output to the that-time demand of the site.

Hot water

Aurelia’s turbines are designed for flexibility and energy efficiency. Turbine technology inherently underlines these two features – we just want to make it work well at smaller scales too.

Direct current

Aurelia’s turbines can generate on-site DC power with multiple fuels while also providing the necessary heating and cooling. Aurelia’s gas turbines have been developed to generate Prime Power DC output at various voltages to directly support the DC bus at electrical efficiencies of up to 42%.

Hydrogen and new fuels

The turbines made by Aurelia utilise combustor technology types and designs that have been specially developed to utilise a wide range of fuels from different sources and to cleanly and reliably combust even fuels with lower calorific values without the need for expensive support fuels.

Chilling

Aurelia’s turbines provide excess heat, that can be recovered by an absorption chiller and used for cooling.

Absorption chilling systems offer a number of advantages over conventional chilling systems and as such offer the most economically viable solution for reduced emissions and deliver cooling.

Biogas

Not all power can be generated with just wind & solar. The main design principle of our turbines is that they are flexible to be able to match almost all the possible needs of the efficient, small scale power generator.

Prime power

Aurelia turbines have been developed to provide power generation solutions for commercial and industrial customers especially in relatively small scale.

We believe our product is the most efficient small scale gas turbine in the world with an efficiency and cost of ownership which will allow small and medium scale organisations to generate prime power for self-consumption on site.

Process steam

Steam is an efficient and effective energy medium which is widely used in industry worldwide to produce everything from food to chemicals to paper and building materials.

 

Both installations are combined with high efficiency and very wide & flexible operation windows. This also helps the end-customer to match both the power and heat output to the that-time demand of the site.

Hot water

Our turbines have high electrical efficiency, by far highest in our class. This makes the plant operation profitable for our CHP owners even when the heat is not needed; and when it comes to the heat recovery, our turbines can be installed so that there is only one source of excess heat – the exhaust gas. This reduces the losses of the heat recovery process and improves overall efficiency. 

Furthermore, the excess heat of our turbines can be released to the atmosphere if it is not required. This makes the engineering of the installation much easier and also reduces the costs of installation– not to mention the enhanced simplicity to match the plant output to real demand. 

Chilling

Chilling is often used in industrial processes and commercial buildings.

 

Absorption chilling systems offer a number of advantages over conventional chilling systems and as such offer the most economically viable solution for reduced emissions and deliver cooling.

Our products feature a modular design

With a relatively small number of changes, a significantly wide variety of gas fuels can be utilised to generate electricity using Aurelia’s class-leading IRG2 turbine process.

The main benefit of combustion in a turbine is that the combustion is initiated once at the start of the generation rather than 9000 times per minute in a 6-cylinder reciprocating engine generator.
